General Description
Our program will hold its first session June 9th to July 18th, 2008 with July 4th off. Two sessions will be offered: daily from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These hours include a one-hour lunch break, which is provided by the Center. The number of client spaces is extremely limited and will be filled on a first-come basis. There is housing nearby for an additional fee. While this is not arranged by the Center, we will be happy to provide you with a list of housing options. Session schedule for 2008

Eligibility
After receiving information about the program, you are welcome to apply by completing the application questionnaire. We will need a report from your speech-language pathologist or a similar previous evaluation/information to help us determine if you are a good candidate for the program. Good candidates are those who have aphasia as their primary language difficulty, and do not have other broad cognitive problems. Candidates should also be able to follow a schedule with some assistance, and have the mental and physical stamina to participate in daily therapies. Candidates should be able to take care of their basic daily needs, including toileting and medications. Good candidates will show a reasonable expectation of benefit from an intensive program.
